Blood Angels!

Having completed quite a number of models for my retro RT Crimson Fists marines, I've decided to also build a squad of Blood Angels and later, a unit of Silver Skulls as well. So far I've completed five Blood Angels, with a goal of having ten each of the Blood Angels and Silver Skulls.

This is the squad so far:

Sergeant with the traditional bolt pistol and chainsword:

Brother marine with Bolter and chainblade attachment:

Brother marine with Bolter and combat attachment:

Finally, two more marines with Bolters:

I've got four Silver Skulls currently in the works, and then I can think about putting together the rest of the Blood Angel squad, including special and heavy weapons!

  1. So beauty! I have to do the same with my Ultramarines Army. This is inspiring!

    1. Thanks! These old marines really are a lot of fun to put together and paint. Maybe because they're so simple and don't have too much unnecessary detailing.

  2. Great stuff! I have a Rogue Trader Blood Angels army and actually just took a big load of pictures of it. I will be posting them on my blog this weekend.

I just posted a blog about terrain building and don't want to post both things on same day :)

  3. Wow! I love these. They look like they've walked straight out of the Rogue Trader Rulebook.

    1. That's the look I was going for! I just need to get hold of some Blood Angel tranfers to go on their shoulderpads. I tried painting one on, and it was alright, but too much of a faff to do on all of them!
